Why Run?
Growing up my mother was always for the underdog. She regularly pointed out wrongs in the world. This imbedded in me a deep desire to right the wrongs in the world. I have grown up with opportunity and an attitude that I am in charge of my success. I feel in our prosperous society that everybody should have the opportunity to have a fulfilling life and a minimum safety net that can catch them if they fall. When I see a disadvantaged person who doesn’t have a path out, when I hear about all the people where the cost of everyday living out-strips income they make, and when I learn of a young child who is not getting the secure start in life they deserve, I am motivated to action. I do not have all the answers, but I am ready to give it my all. I believe in the American Dream. Join me in the journey to make our society the best it can be.
